As General Manager, Mike Oprish is responsible for directing and overseeing all daily operations for Bernardus Lodge, the luxurious 57–room boutique resort located in the picturesque Carmel Valley, California. Oprish is committed to the highest level of standards that are maintained throughout every department of the resort.
Oprish has more than 20 years of experience working in the hotel industry. Before joining Bernardus Lodge, Oprish worked with Carefree Resorts where he served as the rooms manager at the Carmel Valley Ranch. He later left the Carmel Valley to accept a position as rooms manager at The Peaks Resort and Spa in Telluride, Colorado. He returned in 1999, when Bernardus Lodge opened and he accepted a position as assistant general manager. He was then promoted to general manager and for three years worked as general manager of Bernardus Lodge and Quail Lodge consecutively.
Oprish lives in the Monterey area and is very involved in the community. He serves as president of the Monterey County Hospitality Association and vice president of Carmel Valley Chamber of Commerce.
