The brilliant 2008 Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir exhibits the grand cru nobility of this fabulous site. Deep, plum/ruby/purple, with terrific nose of camphor, blueberry, black raspberry, and cherry, as well as background oak and mossy, foresty notes, the wine has terrific fruit on the attack, mid-palate, and finish. This is certainly the finest wine I have ever tasted from Bernardus and is capable of evolving for 7-8 years. Just brilliant!
