The 2010 Pisoni Pinot Noir is rich, deep and powerful, as so many wines from this site often are. I don’t quite find the nuance of the energy of the Rosella’s; instead, it is the wine’s structure and tannin that seems to dominate. If the 2010 softens, it may merit a higher score, but today I am not sure that will happen. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018 - August 31, 2012 Issue #202

Showcasing the Pisoni signature of huge, bold fruit, this wine has ripe and savory flavors of raspberry, cherry, pomegranate, and persimmon. The wine tastes of oak too, in the form of vanilla and smoky butter. It’s a delicious wine. Give it six years in a good cellar. – S. H.
